Competition Open to Georgia Residents Only

ATLANTA — The prestigious Hudgens Prize Visual Arts Competition is back this year, with a stunning cash award of $50,000 and an invitation for a solo exhibition for one very talented artist. The Hudgens Prize is one of the largest art awards given in the entire nation, and is open only to Georgia residents. The purpose of the competition is to elevate and promote the arts in Georgia, as well as to offer a transformational opportunity for the winning artist.

“As we launch this third cycle of The Hudgens Prize, we are keenly aware of its significance. This unparalleled opportunity for Georgia artists comes every two years and we’re honored and privileged to announce this next run.” said Teresa Osborn, Executive Director at the Hudgens. “We know from the past that every aspect of this process positively effects artists in our state. From having the work of every artist who submits reviewed by a panel of world class jurors, to the intimate studio visits by these jurors with the four artist finalists; this process and the relationships formed have long lasting impact.

Competition entries are to be submitted online via digital upload, and will be accepted between September 1, 2014 and November 1, 2014. Artists may visit the Hudgens’ website to access the link for entering their works.
